As the COVID-19 Pandemic continues, employee health has been a major focus for both policy makers and businesses. The Pandemic has highlighted the risk of infectious diseases and has put an emphasis on business roles in preventing their spread to employees and customers. While these precautions, policies and procedures are crucial during a pandemic, the reality is that during times like these, other health risks, like emotional and psychological stress, may fall off the radar and cause significant harm to employees.

This video is part two of a series of videos on situational awareness developed from Alliance Solutions Group’s (ASG) course, Crisis Leadership and Decision Making. The course was developed for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and has been delivered to thousands of public safety and private sector decision makers across the country.

COVID-19 Safety Trainings: Although the pandemic changed a lot of things, ASG took on the challenges by swiftly creating COVID-19-specific workplace safety assessments, trainings, and solutions for businesses wanting to keep operations going while keeping customers and employees safe.

When a person hears the word “drone” a myriad of thoughts may come to mind. Some may think of the nefarious ways they are used. Some may imagine a photographer doing a fly-over at a wedding, while others may consider them an invasion of personal space or privacy.

With Veterans Day right around the corner, ASG is taking the time to reflect on the dedication and service military personnel provide for our country. Virginia has adopted the nation’s first, comprehensive Infectious Disease Prevention standard for the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19. This workplace safety standard outlines new guidelines and requirements for all Virginia businesses to implement within the next 60 days.

In April, the White House released its phased guidance for “Opening Up America Again.” States followed this guidance by developing more specifics on how to reopen after satisfying the gating criteria for each phase. As we navigate from one phase to the next and different types of organization reopen their doors to their employees, customers and vendors, leaders are trying to navigate the myriad of evolving guidance on the CDC website, State health department website, Executive Orders, the Governor’s guidance for specific organizations, and best practices.
